Childrens' Parties

    My son had a birthday party today at a local soft play centre. After the first hour and a half of screaming I grew a little restless, and went in search of some colour medicine.

      Isn't it interesting how those red/orange balls pop out at us! A perfect lesson in how warm colors approach and cool colors recede!

      - is that what they'r called, ball pits? They should have a better name...

      I like the comments about which colours jump out.

      But more amazing is how the balls of the same colour congregate together. They do it a bit on my photo of Smarties , but here they are massing like crazy! How do you explain that???

      (yes I know there's an individualist orange one there, but "one ball doesn't make a ball pit")
