Iridium flare! | by Brendan Loy

Iridium flare!

The first "meteor" I captured on camera was not actually a meteor at all, but a -1 magnitude Iridium flare passing through Pegasus (track) at 5:29 AM.

This photo is a 68-second exposure, my longest of the night. As a result, in the 1024-pixel-wide and 3888-pixel-wide versions of this picture, you can clearly see star trails. You can also see the flare much better!
