the invite...it really is fun AND usefull) I
realized that most of my favorites are still
in Amsterdam...

Oh dear, wont they get damp in Old Amsterdam? Yes, its great fun seeing other peoples
books, its like seing inside their heads! Of
course it might be full of er, ladies books? But I think the important thing is to read,
and not to watch TV all the time.
And then its on with the hair shirt and
getting down to sitting on a spike for the
rest of the evening! No, but you can take hatred of TV too far! In France its a pleasure to turn off the crap
they transmit!
I donated about 3/4 of my book collection
when I moved this last time--I really miss
them and thought that because "they were
in my head", it didn't matter. I keep
reaching, but soon realize they no longer
belong to me in the hard copy :( Sad little
mortal woman, I know....

I think of "Waiting for Godot" re-visited.....
