me watching you watching me (ratemyprofessors.com)

searching out the best way to convey how I feel about being evaluated (online!) and how to make it an interesting picture....

not lovely, pictorially speaking, (too much interiority not captured by camera)

*best!* worst!* great!* terrible!*smiley!*frown!*high score!*low score!*any score!?!*

sometimes I wish that it could be a conversation instead

I'm glad that site didn't exist when I taught my very first class, a required-if-your-verbal-SAT-score-was-low Composition course. So it was a remedial required course at 8 in the morning, and I'd never had a class like that, or taught before or even been a TA, and I was the sole instructor.

    It didn't go well.

note: I just replaced the pic. as those of you who passed by earlier on today will notice, I used to have the page from ratemyprof.com up there. I decided to replace the comments with a trojan horse, which ends up saying the same thing but is more interesting pictorially....

thanks Logop, it does help to know that one is not alone in such ventures...teaching is a process of learning, LOL

Ug, I will let you know if it works but so far I simply cannot tear my eyes away...

EL8ED, thx for commenting on the switcheroo. I like it better now as well. And you are right, ya, I did begin to think about these new user-generated communication technologies as something of a trojan horse, tho I dunno, they are pretty amazing too, in their potential
