Inside Cabin #2

Knife

Knife

Among the plastic pieces was this knife. It's a durable plastic, I wonder if this can be dated serially.

Cabin #2

Cabin #2

The roofing on this cabin is still largely intact. It's long strips of tarred abrasive sheets. The chimney is still on the roof.

Cabin #2

Cabin #2

This shows how the cabin fell back from its foundation. There wasn't too much left inside the back portion of the cabin.

Stove

Stove

This overhead view shows where the exhaust from the stove would shoot up toward the ceiling. This is near the roof of the first fallen cabin.

Stove

Stove

This stove was in the first cabin. It looks like it could still be usable even though moss is starting to grow on it.

Gasoline

Gasoline

The lid of the barrel says this was gasoline for automotive. That might be a date at the top (bottom) of 1950.

Drum

This fuel drum looks like it was opened with a giant can opener. I wonder what could do that.

Well, it's not so often that something so obvious jumps out at you. We now have something to record.

Barrel

Barrel

There's a cabin across the way, but here we spotted a barrel which hints at human activity here in the past. Little did we know what we'd find.

Stake

Stake

We're finding all the stakes right along the water, right where they should be. This is making work rather easy.
