The Final Kick
My sister shot this picture of me [right] at the first SMC cross-country meet of the 2006 season. Cross-country has played such an important role in my life for ten years that since I've graduated I often find myself missing that adrenaline rush before a race or the runner's high following a workout. Sure, I still manage to fit in some runs, but nothing can replace the comradery of teammates that have put in miles of sweat and tears beside me and know me on a deeper level than most. Truly, here's nothing quite like the sport of running.
P.S. I'm proud to say I beat that chick racing next to me. : )
