Hey all you out there! I'm still alive. I upload on Instagram daily, come and find me there.

That was a big surprise. My picture was printed on a broad sheet paper, about 20x30. Great! (And no, I did not ask for money. Next time, I promise....). I actually even offered them to use it. Reformatorisch Dagblad is a Dutch national newspaper and has 56.227 copies each day. Pretty cool.

In my hospital, we are now running a pilot to promote a friendlier way to deliver babies in the OR through a C-Section. The OR is much warmer than the usually chilly temperature. The lights are low and best of all, parent can see their baby being born through a see-through plastic sheet. And on top of this, they will remain together in the OR. So no separation like it used to be for ages. I'm so happy we reached this stage. (And yes, we've been doing this friendlier way for almost 2 years now, but finally we have it all arranged well. Logistics and stuff. We have an extra nurse to mind the baby so the baby can lay skin-to-skin on mummy's chest. And we can even help her nurse the baby. Wonderful. Isn't it?!
