Trees and the darkness

    I went out with degarmo last night and tried this HDR technique. Basically, we took 7 exposures of varying lengths with a fixed aperture setting to capture as broad of a range as possible. I'm definitely going to do some more toying with this technique. I don't think you can get the full effect at night (yes that is the moon behind the tree).

    After creating the composite HDR, I converted the file to black and white using the channel mixer.

      I like the idea of trying HDR at night. Very cool detail on the tree and the moon gives it a neat glow.
