The calyxes of this form have a rosy flush, but the "hidden petals" inside are apple green.

 

Etymology

The generic name Abutilon is derived from the Arabic awbūtīlūn (’abū ṭīlūn), for malvaceous (mallow-like) plants.

 

The specific epithet eremitopetalum literally means "hidden petaled."
