From Whence Cometh My Help? by Charlie Brouwer
locust wood
Installed: September 2011 – September 2013
Location: West Main and Broad Streets
Funding: Lyndhurst Foundation
Art on Main Exhibition
“The title From Whence Cometh My Help? is taken from the book of Psalms. Like the psalmist, this guy has paused in his day to ask himself an important question. Perhaps this sculpture serves as a reminder that we can get lost in the busyness of our days and lives and, once in a while, it is good to take off our hats and look up.” The sculpture is part of Art on Main, a rotating sculpture exhibition along Main Street, and will be on view through September 2013.
