in college, my class and i went to an exhibition called futureproof, at street level in glasgow.
i wont get into specifics, but something really bugged me. one of the lecturers were incredibly patronising, - treating and speaking to us like children on a field trip.
it was implied that we didn’t have the ability to formulate an opinion - when in fact, i had chosen not to share mine out of courtesy to the tour-guide. i had not enjoyed the work, but knew fine well had i mentioned this, (even after the persistent .. encouragements, from staff), I would have been “told off” for being rude, or disrespectful.

i think there’s a perfectly visible - chunky, even - line between being disrespectful and sharing an opinion that doesn’t involve incessant flattery.

my opinion matters, and i won't be shushed.

Being rude or disrespectful has [seemingly] never bothered me any. ;-) Are you sure you would've been 'told off' after persistent encouragements? It's a shame you didn't feel you could offer a true opinion. Do you know if others felt the same? [Be they the other, uh, children, or tutors that went with you?]

Love how your eyes draw you right into this image like a vanishing point... : )

It's a nice shot, and as other suggested, would make a great cd cover. Still wish I could figure out who you remind me of. Maybe its the eyes, I don't know.

I like the stories you add to your photos, they really add to the experience of looking at your work. And this photo is really fantastic! Lovely in black and white. May I ask what camera/lens you used for this?

      thanks everyone, :)
and - thanks, :) i try to give a bit of background where it's relevant. i use a canon 5d mk2, and for this i think i used my 24-105mm lens, focal length was 40mm. :)

love the hair.... ^...I think the types of women who can pull off a hair-cut that isn't long are pretty bold and awesome, too mainstream centuries of long haired girls I reckon...
