My Japanese Samurai scarf
which never has been to Japan
& doesn´t speak Japanese either...
but a friend´s friend moved to Japan
quite a long time ago
(in the early nineties)
& left me some bags with yarn
& unfinished knitting business,
Even though I could have opened
my own yarn shop even back then
I was very fond of the donated material,
but still it took a while
until the high-end yarn
started to communicate with me
So, one day I came across the bag
with my friend´s friend
abandoned knitting project
& since I still couldn´t figure out
what her visions & intentions were,
I had the idea to grab the pieces
& finish & remodel them in my way,
following the story the material
told me along the path
Since I am a great admirer of Japan
& Japanese culture as well,
- I even love the sound
of their beautiful language,
even if I don´t understand a word-,
I decided to dedicate at least
the title of this model to these great people.
