Routine life around Mesjid al-Kabir

Routine life around Mesjid al-Kabir

The scarface of last evening's haboob—puddle of mud—is omnipresent in Khartoum. I happened to walk around the Gold souk area and I thought that this would be an interesting catch.

Within minutes I was caught by the security guards in the vicinity who asked me to leave asap.

Gaddafi's Egg

Gaddafi's Egg

The Corinthia Hotel Khartoum is a five-star hotel in central Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, on the meeting point of the Blue Nile & White Nile and in the centre of Khartoum’s commercial, business, and administrative districts. It is located next to the Friendship Hall of Khartoum and the Tuti Bridge and stands as a highly visible statement of the country’s growing economic success.

It is known as "Gaddafi's Egg" because it is funded by Libya.

View from the Castle of Neuchâtel.

View from the Castle of Neuchâtel.

The city is located on the northwestern shore of the Lake of Neuchâtel (lac de Neuchâtel in French and Neuenburgersee in German), a few kilometres east of Peseux and west of Saint-Blaise. Above Neuchâtel, roads and train tracks rise steeply into the folds and ridges of the Jura range – known within the canton as the Montagnes Neuchâteloises.
