    Tetsujin is excited about Roid Week. You should be too!!!

    I used a reversed 50mm 1.4 mounted in front of the SX-70 to make this shot. Tetsujin is *tiny.* I'm guessing this to be about a 5x macro. It was fun shooting this.

      Oh, also, I've been meaning to ask you: I have the 1.4, is there any benefit in getting he 1.8? You've done some AMAZING stuff with the 1.8 is why I ask.

      yup! Same guy, just the Japanese name. =)

      yeah. I had the pola balanced on a book, Tetsujin balanced on a stand, the reversed fiddy in my left hand trying not to block the pola's electric eye and my right hand on the focus wheel/shutter. it was..... fun.

      and as for the 1.8.... well, if you've got the 1.4 and like it, I'd skip the 1.8. MY 1.4 is an old non-coated pre-AI lens and it's just not that great. it's a pretty lens, but the colors it makes are bland and it's not nearly as sharp as my modern 1.8. I hate to admit that, but it's true. Now the 50/1.2 is worth stalking on ebay. THAT is a fun lens.

      Thanks Adam, I'll be on the lookout for the 1.2 and the 28mm wide angle, dying for that. :)

      I somehow expected you to be ready. And an Ugly appearance? hmmm..... I've already got TOO MANY shot for roid week and only one is an uglydoll shot. hmm....

      Wall-E huh? hmmmmm..... *maybe* if I get a good idea. I've done 1 WALL-E and one MO before. Never done an EVE.... maybe....
