Seeking Mr. Groundhog

The thick damp fog could not keep City bulldog from an adventure seeking Mr. Groundhog.
He was sure Bessie might love to join in his search for a groundhog since she loves squirrel hunting.
The thick fog and sounds like hoot owls had Bessie choosing her soft bed and warm house over
seeking Mr. Groundhog.

City looks out over the field near the railroad tracks thinking this is an ideal spot to begin seeking Mr. Groundhog. If he were a groundhog it's where he"d come out to check for his shadow.

It's snowing...it's snowing...it's snowing paints!

A summer afternoon... three scoops of vanilla ice cream on a sugar cone in January.

This winter , for the most part, has been mild . It's had an unseasonable pattern with tricks of spring, summer, autumn and back to snow, cold winter.

Yes...it's snowing paints like a summer afternoon ....three scoops of vanilla ice cream on a sugar cone in January.

Photos, words are like storytelling so try reading them aloud and it all come alive!
The chestnut and sorrel quarter horses become paints ( pinto horses) as the snow covers and decorates their brown winter coats.

p.s. Will the Groundhog see his shadow tomorrow? I bet the Groundhog will be just as confused as the weather patterns.

Dream The Game

Heffala bulldog lays near one of her red balls knowing it's time to rest and dream the game.

She has an appointment in a few minutes with the vet so can't get with contacts until later on.
She's our QOE...and love her much!

Heffala is home and resting. She has an eye ulcer that came on suddenly with blood. She's on eye medication and it should get better in time. Hope to catch up after dinner.

Bessie bulldog admires the yellow roses that are placed on the ceremony dish.
Bessie sighs..." Will I get a rose from bachelor City bulldog. Who else would he consider over me ?"

When Push comes to Shove

There is something about fresh snowflakes on a calm winter's day that inspires a call to go outside.
This was such a day.
Heffala bulldog and her side-kick Pluto were rushing out the front door to play a game in the snow.
The fresh snow on the steps can be slippery and from the looks of Pluto...they were.

Heffala had help going down the stairs as Pluto was rolling past her like a bowling ball going towards the bowling pins but hits the gutter with a big loud " Thud".

Heffala looks out to the front yard thinking about the ball game she and Pluto were going to play in the fresh snow. " Red ball....we forgot the red hollee roller ball"...barks Heffala.
Pluto lays motionless but Heffala knows when push comes to shove...she will have Pluto up in no time.
