Cornizuelo - Rhinoceros Beetle

I had completely forgotten the name of it but this insect was not dangerous at all, kinda soft too. Just chilling sipping all the sugar out of this freshly cut piece of sugar cane.

thanks to AliMari, I now know it is a "cornizuelo", gracias querida!

    More info thanks to archjds:
The common name for this insect is Rhinoceros Beetle. You are holding a young male of about 6"-7" long. Full grown males are about 11" long...so almost twice the size of what you see in the picture.

THANKS FOR THE GROUP EFFORT ;0)

Common name is Elephant beetle, type of rhinoceros beetle, this is NOT a young male, it is an adult, I am an entomologist, they spend their young adult stage as huge grubs feeding on rotten logs. They do not reach 11 inches, 6-7 inches long is a very nice example. I am looking to acquire some big males, if you can catch me some, I will pay for them. Thanks!
