Taken on the first evening of "Illuminating York" [illuminatingyork.org.uk/fringe-events/], October 2011. This was a statue in the garden of The Treasurer's House, Minster Yard, just behind York Minster itself [the top of the minster can just be seen behind the statue's head], in an exhibition called "A Ghostly Glow". This picture is more or less exactly as I took it from my camera [apart from the frame] and this is how the colours actually were.

Yes, I know it's another daffodil, but I look forward to their sunny faces every year after the darkness and gloom of the winter. I will never tire of them, no matter how many I see. (8-))))

Sadly this bloke always performs with his eyes shut these days, so almost impossible to get a shot with them open!!! Btw behind him is smoke effects - and maybe a little steam from him I suspect ]8-]]

I went on a training course for a couple of days to Trafford Hall Conference and Training Centre, in Chester, where I saw my first snowdrops of the year, during an early morning walk before training. These are the very ones....
