Hartland 121

Hartland 121

Still processing some shots from an August outing to Hartland Quay. This one was 121 seconds using a 4 stop ND and 3 stop ND Grad. I did a bit of blending in CS3 on the distant rocks as they were a bit too dark.

Mumpty Dumpty

Mumpty Dumpty

As 2011 draws to a close it occurred to me that I've not been to Burrow Mump once this year.....that won't do! I was also itching to use my newly acquired Big Stopper (my 3rd one), the good news is I didn't even break it once!

Large on Black is better, just click ;-)

Near & Far

Near & Far

I used the 70-200L f/4.0 IS here due to the pier being closed (despite the sign saying open) I poked the camera through the railings and grabbed this one handheld . Not really the shot I wanted as I'd planned on a wide angle view originally.

It always amazes me how much the zoom lens compresses the perspective, the pier is 250 mtrs long but it looks about 50 mtrs and the distant Welsh coast is 6 or 7 miles away but it looks like you could throw a stone over there!
