Self portraits aren't as easy as they look, especially when your remote won't reach the camera and there's a lake between you and your camera.. oh.. and did I mention it was raining? *shakes head*

Digging into the archives applying new edits. I'm really digging this shot but what do y'all think?

The other day I was popping pistachios like a boss when I ran across a complete, whole and perfect shell.. with no nut inside. It set me to thinking, how often do I look like this.. beautiful, complete, whole and mature on the outside, with no fruit or value on the inside where and when it really matters? I desire to look and do right without a true first love for Jesus.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Sounds obvious right? Like, um.. duh.. why even mention that? Well such were my thoughts, but it seems it’s the obvious things we’re most prone to miss and forget. Let’s face it, we all do stupid stuff every single day of our lives. In the things we think, say, do, don’t do, forget and don’t remember… I mean even if your only half as dumb as I am, you’d still be wearing ankle socks in the middle of winter when flip flops get way better traction, putting jelly on both sides of the same piece of bread when you should really do the honey mustard first, not to mention burning wood to keep your log cabin warm.. I mean go figure, just torch the cabin doofus! *shakes head* Gosh! So anyway.. all that to say use your head, listen to the Spirit of God, and don’t do boneheaded things. *bows* Thank you. ;)
