Hot and Dry

Well… here’s something Hot off the Press… captured at sunset yesterday evening… in the middle of an empty dam... on a farm near Durbanville.

With no wind and a sky full of clouds… I knew that we were in for a real treat yesterday! So I grabbed my camera and went out in search of a farm dam to reflect the sunset clouds. But we’ve had a long, dry Summer in the Western Cape this year… and I couldn’t find a single dam that still had water in it! All was not lost though… sometimes empty dams can be just as photogenic as full dams! :)

    Nikon D3100, Sigma 10-20mm at 14mm, aperture of f16, with a 1/8th second exposure.
