After a short break from Flickr, here is another shot from the street shopping in Siem Reap. Being a Buddhist nation, you will find all sorts of Buddha painting and artifacts in the market.
I love using my 50mm f1.8 when I go on the street because it gives me a lot of interesting opportunities like this but of course to do the entire range of street captures you need to be really equipped with many different lenses and I'm still in the infant stages when it comes to that. Hopefully some day I will have all the equipment that I desire.

There's always more equipment needed isn't there...seems for everything 1 thing you buy, you need another 2 things to go with it, too.

Beautiful photograph... terrific use of DOF in this line of Buddha statues. You've done a whole lot of good photograph with your 50mm f1.8. It is remarkable how expensive lenses for Nikon and Canon (especially) have become over the last few years. Canon has gone through an "upgrading"process with several of its most popular lenses but the new prices are staggering.
Here's one staggering example from Canon: the original Canon 500mm f4 was around $6400 USD within the last year (Internet mail order. They recently came out with a "series 2"
of this popular lens, and the new price is $10,400.00 USD. That's an incredible increase and it's with all the new releases, the new 70-200mm f2.8, the new 300mm f2.8, etc., etc.
I hope Nikon is being more reasonable with their costs for revised, updated lenses. OK, I'll stop! But I appreciate that it takes time to increase the number of lenses you can buy today.

Don't know about needing other equipment, whatever you use at the moment you still give us staggering pictures with beautiful light and compositions with wonderful write ups on the pictures you have taken, love this one in black and white and the focal point, have a great day.

Oh wow I really like this one! So peaceful and timeless! The DOF is perfect and the B&W works really well, kind of makes you focus on the one figure... Are those made of wood, it seems like it but I thought I'd check? :))
