    aliceblue - nope, but i had a huge hairy dog (he passed away) and these are slip covers that i wash every few months. it's easy-peasy. i have a black linoleum kitchen floor, on the other hand i'd like to dynamite. i swear, white is not that hard to upkeep.

    Interesting -- I'd always figured schmutz would disappear on black. Good to know, as i was considering dark floorboards!

    aliceblue - i was just at a friends' house who put in dark would floors and on their staircase, too. she said it was an absolute nightmare to keep clean and dust ball free. it all shows up quite a lot. it's a maintenance consideration for sure!
