I investigated the packard less than a week after this huge chunk of
building collapsed. I'd gone in here for the very first time about 6
weeks earlier, and actually spent a fair amount of time standing in
the zone that collapsed. I was there with Dan and April and was going
to meet Liz. So we were standing outside looking up at this area, none
of us thinking it was such a good idea to go inside. Then all of a
sudden we see Liz up inside waving down to us. Aah, peer pressure is a
and the rest is history. In we went.
I think my body language is sort of telling, I wasn't really feeling
very secure in this location given the fact that all of it crashed
only days before. This was maybe the second time I'd posed like this,
and since the first time was sort of a spontaneous accident, this was
really the first.
It was a great time. I was glad to get out.
A few months later I entered this building in the pitch dark and climbed to rooftop for the sunrise, and to date that morning ranks as one of the coolest experiences of my life.....and I ain't been back since
