A wee baby wrap jumper, knitted for my colleague Eric, whose partner is expecting a baby early next year.

The pattern is the Cute Baby Kimono from the Mason Dixon Knitting book. Yarn is Qualityarns 8 ply DK weight possum merino.

Easy pattern for all you beginner knitters out there to try.

A picnic blanket, to be given as a gift for a mystery recipient at my s'n'b group's annual Christmas craft swap.

The pattern is the I Love Linus blanket from the excellent book Sew La Tea Do. I made my blanket a bit bigger than the one in the book (my one is three fat quarters wide and deep).

The apple fabric is from Sew Pretty (NZ on-line fabric store). The green homespun and red gingham is from Spotlight.

Post-swap update - the recipient said to me that she really liked it, so I guess that's a win!

This is the same picnic blanket, all rolled up ready to be transported to it's next picnic appointment.

I quite like how it looks like a Christmas cracker - love the green bow.

Yes, making the most of nice weather for a spot of fishing with my friend Barry. Visited a spot I've not been to before and what a nice place it is (less than 1 hour from home too).

Casting is on the improve, thanks to a nice wrist strap I have acquired from Stus Flyshop down in Athol.

This knitted chap is my Softies for Mirabel contribution for 2011.

He's knitted from a pattern I found in the Australian Womens Weekly (thanks to my mum for passing it onto me). Yarn is odds n ends of 8 ply DK wool I had in my stash.

Last thing - his name? Geronimo - for a favourite literary mouse at our place.
