Cosmos, wires, and clouds. The wires are there on purpose because we can't avoid them in our world, and I want them to be there. They take away the mystery of the image but at the same time give it a weird sense of motion. The clouds are there, amazingly enough, considering how dry it usually is in the West this time of year. Maybe it will rain.

I love this photo--I love how it actually does all the things you say, but without words. And actually, I think the wires don't take away the mystery at all. It's just a different kind of mystery than if they weren't there.
