Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Happy Valentine's Day! If you read my blog (who doesn't?!), you know that I started a 5-week fit challenge last week. The first four days I went through detoxification, eating soup three times a day, along with brown rice, chicken breast, oatmeal and whey protein powder for breakfast. I made it, but I could never live on that.

 

Saturday was (as Tim Ferriss calls it) my "Dieter's Gone Wild" day. A free day. I ate and drank plenty. Sunday I began Ferriss' Slow Carb diet. No fruit and no "white" carbs (flour, rice and similar products). Basically it's protein, vegetables and legumes at every meal.

 

That was a long winded explanation for this photo. Beginning in the top left and going counter-clockwise, this is today's breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 

Breakfast was egg whites (with a couple spoons of salsa), lentils and spinach. Lunch was comprised of fresh baby spinach and arugula, lentils, a can of all white tuna, drizzled with a little Trader Joe's fat-free basalmic vinaigrette. And for dinner, black beans, grilled chicken breast, and broccoli florets.

 

And I've dropped 4 lbs since last Monday!
