Original photo on left shot in 1982; recreated on right in 2011. Will update in 2040.

Lighting (for 2011 photo): 430EX II on 1/2 bounced into 43" Westcott umbrella slightly camera left; 430EX II and Vivitar 283 on 1/4 to blow out white background for an easy knockout in post. 430EX II's fired via PW FlexTT5; Vivitar fired via Wein hotshoe slave.

Just FYI, that's a wireless mouse in my hand - I was shooting tethered.

Glass shooting assignment for a class at MATC. Modified bright-field lighting setup. Two fresnel spots tightly focused and flagged to only light narrow red and blue background; black foamcore behind red and blue background extending left and right to provide dark edge definition in glass.
