Sunrise at Mesa Arch

My visit to a much photographed location. For anyone who has ever thought of going - it is well worth the trip!

Although the photo's mood is one of peace and tranquilitiy, the wind was absolutely howling and the temperature was only slightly above freezing.

Fire & Ice

Fire & Ice

It was a very cold day indeed - Minus 28 degrees Celsius - causing steam to rise up off of Okanagan Lake. I had to jump into my car every 20 minutes or so just to get feeling back in my hands. Three exposures combined for a subtle HDR effect using Photmatix to bring out the detail in the bark of the tree.
