Improvising, dancing with space, letting space affect.

In this moment the hallway you see here was different...unique...made just for this shot. The stars aligned, the planets stopped spinning, and this happened (or so I like to think). ;)

I only had a few minutes to shoot 3 models, and a (surprisingly...eerily) empty warehouse which I wasn't even aware I would be able to shoot in before I arrived (or even have time to fully explore for that matter). It felt like a dance, really. I had no idea what would happen..how I would shoot them until it happened.

Every time I have shot models before, during or after fashion shows, there is a sense of excitement and drama. I never know what to expect when I show up at the venue. I just let myself be inspired by it all... open my eyes up to the light and see what the subject and location do for me.

This show had an especially interesting feel to it... a large gallery which lead into a bit of an industrial wasteland. Boxes, crates, ladders, all sorts of things dimly lit and plagued with dirt. It was a fascinating contrast once talented subjects like Elle stepped into the frame.
