Fossil - Lacy Bryozoan
Lacy Bryozoans. This lacy, fan-like material is the calcium carbonate skeleton or support structure left by the soft-bodied creatures of the bryozoan colony. It is exposed here in an outcrop of the Redwall Formation, a Mississippian limestone. Grand Canyon National Park. Coconino Co., Arizona.
