It Rolled In Thick

It Rolled In Thick

Right before dusk a wicked fog rolled in. I havent picked up my camera in weeks, so thought I would snap a couple quick shots off of the fog to give me some new stuff to upload to LR4. Im still playing around with the new features, but so far Im really digging the LR4 Beta.

LR4 Beta test shot

LR4 Beta test shot

Downloaded the Beta version of Lightroom4, fully geeked out, and so far Im really liking what I see, and there are some really nice upgrades.

This is a shot that I have processed several times, I have honestly lost count at this point, and now this is the 3rd version of Lightroom I have used on it as well. It has been a photo that I have never been completely happy with, I cant seem to get the processing of it down to get it to look the way I truly want it to. This edit, using LR4 still didnt give me the result I was looking for, but it came out pretty good, and I was able to get it to this point a lot easier than I have previously, which made me pretty happy with the Beta version...it made the processing of it very simple.

While I was processing it, I realized that this shot was taken on my first ever long-exposure shoot of a waterfall. I have shot these falls several times now, and this is still one of my favorite shots, even though I still cant get it to look quite the way I want it to...

Mom

Mom

I wanted to post this pic up of my parents, with me, when I was a little guy....my mother passed away at the age of 56 on New Years morning, while we were on vacation together. Its been a very traumatic week and I havent been able to pick my camera up once even though I would love to, to get my mind off of the obvious...but since my mother was a photographer, I have looked through probably thousands of printed photos from her albums and stacks and stacks of random pictures, dating back to not only when I was a kid but when she was a kid. This is a great shot, one of my favorites that I found over the past few days.

Rock

Even Rocky enjoyed Christmas morning with all his catnip toys...although he had a pretty nasty hangover from spending all of Christmas day high as a kite.

The Soft Glow of Electric Sex

The Soft Glow of Electric Sex

Wanted to wish all of my Flickr friends a very Merry Christmas with this lovely scene, that Im sure will grace the screens of many of your televisions come Christmas Day, since The Christmas Story should be on its once a year 24hr marathon. My good friend and neighbor has this in his front living room window for all to enjoy...I love it.

So, I hope everyone has a great holiday and also to please take a moment and be thankful for all that you have in life, and also what you have accomplished this year in photography. Photography has become a true love in my life just over the past couple years, and Im truly thankful for all that Ive been able to accomplish in it this past year. I want to thank all of my Flickr friends for all the love you've shown with all your comments, they mean a lot to me, and also for the inspiration you give me with your work that I admire on a daily basis, it has helped make me the photographer I am today.

Merry Christmas!
