Snack Time?

    Evaporated Cane Juice
    High Fructose Corn Syrup
    Maltose
    Polydextrose
    Sucrose
    Evaporated Corn Syrup Solids
    Dehydrated Corn Juice Crystals
    Lactose
    Dextrose
    Dehydrated Beet Juice

    It’s all sugar, folks.

Sometimes when the wrapper says “Sugarless” then beware. They probably used Maltodextrin to sweeten the product. To we who watch their glycemic index, maltodextrin is worse than sugar.

Go find an apple. Natural fructose is about as harmless as you can get in a sweetner.

      Isn't that funny. I JUSTmunched a Braeburn!
And Oklahoma candy vending machines seem to look exactly like those in downtown Munich.

      Thanks soozika.

I am pretty sure the vending machines are quite similar around the world. The sugar is the same too probably.

This machine was sitting in the customer waiting room at the auto dealership where we had taken our car for a part replacement. It was just about the most interesting facet of the whole place. Magazines featuring Golf, Automobiles and Fishing have little appeal. Daytime TV is generally unpalatable and fortunately the wall mounted set in the waiting room was off.

So Camera and I wandered about the dealership/shop looking at the new models, inadvertently causing salivation among some rather predatory sales people. One of them even offered me a bite of his doughnut. They were so anxious I really regretted having to tell them I was merely waiting while some warranty work was performed on a model that I had purchased from this showroom exactly a week ago. How soon they forget.

Fortunately it was not a long wait. I was soon on my way.

Opp. I see I have rambled a bit. Again.

Love the two empty ominous distributors in this classic!

Thanks Lucky Clov. As I stood looking at this machine, I had a lot of thoughts about it.

      Ominous. That's one of them.

just seen this on explore interestingness.... wonder what were in the two empty compartments? it's a bit like a puzzle...

      Thanks ed ed.

Now there's a poser for you. 5 comments, three Fav''s and 32 visits and it makes the top 500 for the day in explore. I just don't know.

A metaphore for life maybe; We seem more interested in the parts we don't know than the parts that are clear to us.

I got disoriented looking at this. Explore? See how much power sugar has over our lives? ;-)

Isn't it the truth? Isn't it the truth?

I have been off sugar so long that this just looks like packages of rocks to me. But I have not forgotten how appealing this is to others.

Thanks for your visit. I see you really get the "picture".

I just don't understand something. The picture above has 3 Favs, 40 views and about eight comments (counting my own) and it makes it to explore. (It has since been bumped off.)

But over on mluisa's stream THIS Beautiful Photograph has 300 views, 62 favs, and 97 comments and has not appeared in Explore. I am just missing something I guess.
      What do you think?

I can't explain the Explore phenomenon. Maybe this article will help you understand.
