Comfy old jeans, faded t-shirts,
Crisp fitted blouses and slim pencil skirts.
Painted face, perfect hair,
Milky white skin, washed, fresh and bare.

Drive thru window, java to go,
Café au lait, savoured and slow.
Fine red wine imported from France,
Cold beer, limes and patio dance.

Mountain trails, waterfalls,
Busy city streets and shopping malls.
Office cubicle, appointments, meetings,
Art gallery, theatre and poetry readings.

Heartbeat, breathing, silence, God,
Cellphone, tablet, ereader and IPod.
Dialled in, linked up, on the go,
Motorcycle leathers and open road.

Seeker, thinker, wanderer, learning,
Scattered, obsessive, stubborn and yearning.
Heart of a child, a vulnerable soul,
chalk and cheese, two halves of the whole.
