Sad to see the remains - but that's life, I guess.
      Some day it'll gone forever.

It must have been a huge tree when it was alive! Nice to see they left the stump as a memorial though.

Debió ser una tormenta muy fuerte para hacer caer a un árbol tan grande. Buena foto.

Hacia tiempo estaba sufriendo seriamente su vejez, la tormenta fue el golpe de la gracia.
It was seriously showing its age for some time, the storm was the coup de grace.

oh wow. That's quite something. The remains are huge, and I'm glad they're there for now. Symbols come and go, especially when they're living. :D Thanks for sharing trees from your travels

Wow, is that ever heartbreaking to see! I've been to the Eastern Shore a few times since it came down, but I haven't had the heart to drive there to see it. It was so incredibly beautiful -- but, as they say, such is life, I guess.
