Day 58 (02.27.2012)

Sooooooo.......I went into my new office yesterday and worked all day (and thoroughly enjoyed it) and I guess I just completely spazzed and forgot to take a photo. I woke up around midnight thinking about it last night but trust me, you did not want to see a photo that I decided to take at midnight!

Instead I decided to pull one I took over the weekend that I loved and had not posted. Meet Maybelline (well that is what I was calling her), a one-week old baby goat that was at a booth at the Marietta Farmer's Market over the weekend. She was adorable, I had never seen a goat that tiny before. This is not her human dad, although you would guess he was with his Billy Goat Gruff beard, but one of the farmer's friends who couldn't help but pick her up and cuddle her while showing her off to some of the local kids. She was definitely loving all of the attention, I think she may be a future star for the farm!

Day 56 (02.25.2012)

Finally, the day of the big gig is here! All of the hours of preparation and hard work, not to mention the time spent on makeup and hair were well worth it! The boys of KISS (who kept referring to themselves as SMOOCH among other names) rocked the Blue & Gold banquet for the area Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. They even got another request for a future gig from one of the attendees. Maybe there is a music career for them in the future...just don't tell Gene Simmons or he'll want a piece of the pie! Shout it out loud, boys!

And PS: I'm secretly coveting those feather gloves...must find some!!

And PPS: Boys do not know how to remove makeup. Ace Frehley (aka: The Boyfriend) has just washed his face for the 3rd time!

I met this pelican on the pier at Clearwater Beach, FL last weekend. I felt like we bonded...he loved posing for my camera and I loved playing with him. I don't know what the attraction was about me, since I didn't have any food to offer him, but we both definitely "felt" something for each other. I swear, I got so close I really think I could have touched him.

If Tyra is ever looking for America's Next Top Pelican Model, I suggest she go to Clearwater and seek this guy out!
