Like some art areas, they can feel a bit like a different reality (in a very creative yet funky fun way), and so the fuzzy out-of-focusness really comes from that! I love these places, certainly the coolest parts of a town. And great you get to live in one.

Joy! Thats so awesome!! I'm from Cedar Rapids, Iowa originally and that is land of Grant Wood. In fact, we have mural of American Gothic on a building as well. I'll try to get a photo for you this weekend.
