A low-res, flatbed scan of a 6x7 (2 1/4 x 2 3/4 inch) transparency
Continuing with imagery from up above the Golden Gate, here is one
from the daytime. While I had yet to join MattyD90 and Chip Shotz over
in San Francisco for a fun day of photography, I was thinking during
this shot that they would like to be up here, too. We changed our
plans and returned.
You can see the woods below that were mostly planted during the first and second World Wars. If not for the non-native eucalyptus stands and some introduced conifers, this entire area would have a much different look and feel to it with more of the grassy and shrubby hillsides.
There was lots of haze on this day, but that goes with the weather system that causes the sea fog.
Thanks for having a look!
