Skyline of San Francisco's Financial District as seen from Pier 14 during evening nautical twilight. This was shot during our Night Eyes Photo Workshop last night with fellow instructor Matt Granz. We were shooting the many interesting subjects along the waterfront, including the ferry building tower and Sinbad's sign. I asked Matt if there was a good view from the far end of the pier and he nodded so Warren and I made for that spot. Matt was right, it is a lovely sight indeed with the bay bridge out of frame to the left, and other classic landmarks visible out of frame right.
To the far right, one can see the Embarcadero Towers and the tip of the Transamerica building poking up from behind. To the left, more great skscrapers including some elegant condos. Just out of frame to the left is the West anchorage of the Bay Bridge.
My title is a play on the old 1930's song, "Moon Over Miami"
I used the O-GPS1 accessory to plot my exact location on the map.
Lens is the Sigma 10-20 at 10mm. This photo got as high as #3 on EXPLORE 8/26/12. Thanks!!
