On Friday, I shot 3 bands in about 20 minutes all across Lollapalooza-first the lovely Sharon Van Etten then Tame Impala then Dry the River. It was pretty nuts but they all sounded amazing.

Ah, there they are, looking a little older and a little scruffier. Great band, hope you enjoyed them and hope they do well Stateside.
I think I'm going to see Sharon Van Etten in London in October.

Dry The River played at a festival in Groningen this year. After listening to their cd I decided I could do without their set, but then they started playing. It was amazing.
Sharon Van Etten was wonderful as well, last year when I saw her play, even though she complained about a throat ache. I would love to see Tame Impala play live sometime.

ah, great job on the series for pitchfork! too bad one can't claim photos as favorites on that site, so many priceless moments! really good job, can't even notice in how much of a hurry you were :)
i came close to seeing dry the river live at this years roskilde festival, but arrived too late and missed out on the set. saw most of m83 though. danced my ass off with a small camera in one hand and a liter of wine (in such a handy carton!) in the other :p

It looks passionate...I enjoyed these guys live and shame lights were a bit dark when I saw and shot them...nothing so Summery and free like here.
