For Scavenge Challenge - #25 Six variations on a theme
Sharon's injunction to "challenge yourself to tackle a subject that you haven't already captured a hundred times" inspired me to step out of my normal comfort zone to do a bit of "people photography," and not just long shots or candids. I forced myself to ask strangers as well as friends if they would pose for a portrait. The two fellows on the left had been fishing at Mineral Lake and were just putting their gear in the truck when I approached them with the lead-off question, "Didja catch anything?" Conversation held while I worked up my courage to spring the ultimate question, "Would you mind posing for a photo? I need six portraits for an assignment." Both readily agreed and gave me happy smiles despite their poor luck on the water. The remaining images are of a friend's family, taken yesterday at his cookout-cum-fireworks in honor of Independence Day. Thanks to all of you for posing!
