This is a Valentine's Day mini book I handmade for my sweetie with text messages we exchanged when we first met and started dating. It's a cute time line of our long distance relationship. It's also the first relationship I was in in which texting became a mode of communication.

I saved all our text messages and picked some of the most telling ones for the book. On each facing page, I hand wrote how I felt when I received each text. For example, the first time he wrote "sweetie" and the first time he wrote "XO" Also, very cute that the first text message I received,he misspelled my name and then you see he corrects the spelling in the third text.

I presented the mini book with a wrist watch. He said it was probably the best valentine he'll ever receive. He was not talking about the watch.

I propose everyone make personalized handmade cards and gifts that capture a time, a thought, a moment only the two of you could share!
