      IN MAY 1920, LOUTH WAS FLOODED. 4INCHES OF RAIN IN 4 HOURS. EXACTLY THE SAME AREAS OF LOUTH WAS FLOODED. BUT 23 CITIZENS WERE DROWNED. NOTE MUCH NEW BUILDING HAS TAKEN PLACE ON THE OLD SITE, INCLUDING NEW EXPENSIVE HOUSES AND THE CO OP SUPERMARKET. I ONCE TALKED TO AN OLD MAN WHO HELPED 8 WORKHORSES ESCAPE FROM "THORNES GARAGE" IN LUDGATE.
