    oh hells yes.

    the sun is shining, there's a homemade pecan pie in my kitchen, and my family all around me.
    feels like the makings for a good day.

      no one likes it like i do. my hubby is not a fan of nuts. my mom was always a pecan fan so she would indulge me but now she lives too far.. maybe i need to bake one just for me.

      Yum, yum! I didn't like nuts in any form when I was a kid, but at some point in my life, I did a 180 turn, and pecan pie rules my world. I'm lucky my daughters adore it too. I make it every Thanksgiving. And it turns out it's also my sister's boyfriend's absolute favorite pie in the world -- I'm now plotting ways of using pecan pie to get him to propose :)

      Do you know that pecan is my absolute favorite pie? It ranks right up there with the Black and Tan cake. Oh, and um . . . I don't know if you know . . . but there's this thing called a Chocolate Pecan Pie . . . uh huh.

      Pie for breakfast was such a good invention. This Thanksgiving made for many such mornings! :) Nice warm photo.
