Explode - - - Rodeo Beach, California

Explode - - - Rodeo Beach, California

Another spur of the moment trip to the beach with my buddy, Sid. Well, if 6 hrs round trip counts as spur of the moment that is. The Sunday afternoon clouds in N. California were building with time, so we met up at this beach and began to fire away. This was one of the first images I clicked off. The little splash on the left and the rock just being enveloped by the more prominent splash up front stood out in this one.

In Too Deep - - - Rodeo Beach, California

In Too Deep - - - Rodeo Beach, California

I met my buddies Sid and Gary for a sunset shoot, hoping to catch a clearing California winter storm (the same one that was featured in the Giants vs 49'ers NFC Championship last nite). The only problem was that the storm had cleared by the time we set up. Well after driving 120 miles, I was not leaving empty handed, so we waited for low tide and got off a few shots. A couple of remnant rogue waves from the storm left me standing in waist deep water on at least two occasions! Did i mention the water in N. California is really cold? NO CAMERA GEAR was harmed in the making of this photo.

Prairie Oak - - - Folsom, California

Prairie Oak - - - Folsom, California

The back roads to Folsom, CA. This view didn't look like much earlier in the day under harsh light, but sunset and dusk brought out some nice color. This is a repost after a little more post tweakage.

The tip of the angled pillar (just right of upper center) just barely touching the water caught my eye as the tide receded.
