Pang Soon Trail, Sangkampaeng, Chiangmai Thailand Litterally hundreds
of these small butterflies had just undergone their metamorphasis and
their wings were drying out in the hot sun.
The Pang Soong Nature Trail is an Ecotourism Development Project
established between the Village Ban Pang Mano, the Voluntourists
Without Borders Initiative and the Ecotourism Development Partner
T.R.D. under a 10 year contract signed on the 13th Novemeber 2006
Aim is to establish a world class nature trail as the pilot project in
the development of an Ecotourism Industry to be owned and operated by
the villagers themselves.
The trail is 4km long and follows the Mae Lai Stream from 1000m A.S.L.
to 1400m A.S.L. In addition to paying trail entrance fees each
individual or group must hire the services of a Villages Community
Guide.

Thank you for your kind comments, invitation and favorourite. Regretably very few opened their wings and I had to be careful not to stand on them.

Beautiful take - I think it is much more difficult to make such a picture than to take photos of flowers (what I prefer).

Thank you for your valued comments. Yes, I find butterflies are the most difficult for me when they are in this situation as they are constantly moving and very few were prepared to open their wings. Thanks for your visit.

Well done to you for catching so many in a photo at one time. I've never been that lucky.
STOUCHIE (56 months ago | reply)
@spamdd7
Yes I was lucky as they had just hatched. Unfortunately only one had its wings open. Thanks for your visit and for adding a favourite.
