For those of you familiar with my photostream you will recognize my
favorite "Prop". Its the top half of a broken boat that is
just sitting near the shore close to my favorite pier, just begging
for me to "use" it!
This thing really draws me. I'm gonna have to go back to Corpus to
snap a few more pics....hehehehe...maybe I'll get luck

hmmm, not sure i understand that reasoning jackie...if the horizon was evenly bowed to both sides i'd get it, but Columbus would agree the ocean doesnt run downhill..:)

Lol goldman...not at all. You actually made me smile. On this pic I agree...straightening it would not change the impact of the pic, but it would make the foreground slant the other way ( I went back and tried it)
I've noticed in my sunset pics there is almost always a slant... maybe I'm tilted...maybe we are tilted down here in South Texas.
but in this pic www.flickr.com/photos/jackieb163/58998231/in/set-831787/... staightening it changes the pic. (I know cause I tried it...totally diffent pic... and to me less interesting)

The silhouette and background colours work together beautifully. I hadn't noticed the 'tilted' horizon till I read the comments and, frankly, think its not important in this case.
