Hemlock Roots

Hemlock roots have wound around this rotten broken-off tree trunk during its struggle to exist. Amazing examples of this will to survive do not occur in second growth forests on Vancouver Island. Only in old forests do you see gnarled old specimens that make you wonder about their lives.

Thanks for the warning. I'll make some comments as soon as I understand what is necessary. Do I have to use one of the techniques in the link you sent? Or can I just make a simple comment?
