Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Sofia
A phenomenal cathedral quite surreal in its darkness. The highlight was seeing a monk who seriously looked like Rasputin.

Changing of the Bulgarian Guard
We felt so lucky to witness this - we happened to pass at the exact moment that it began and there were no barriers or anything. It was quite surreal to see photographers literally spitting distance from the guards. It felt a lot like pomp and ceremony for ceremony's sake, rather than anything threateningly militial!
