Memorial

I wanted to do this picture after visiting my grandfather for the holiday. I think grave stones are a pretty cold, unpleasant thing in some ways. I think a memorial should be a ball of warmth and joy that wraps you up like a blanket. Well, anyway, that's the kind of memorial I carry with me in my mind and heart.

Disclaimer: I broke one of my top three rules - NO excessive brush use. But, hey, a good rule is meant to be broken every once in a while.
