Tufted Titmouse, 062006

My backyard. This is a new feeder screwed to my backdeck rail. It's located adjacent to the backdoor yielding a blind for me to shoot from. Squirrels and birds both feed from this feeder. When the feeder gets empty, the squirrels eat on my wife's potted plants with a vengence. In particular, they keep the hibiscus picked clean.

Shot with Canon 400mm f/5.6 L Lense. See my Lense site at: www.flickr.com/groups/24121876@N00/

OK, Sandy (sandysshots) this shot is for you. Yes it is hot/dry and the number of birds in the area have dimensihed significantly....and.....I have been working on finishing an airplane project....little time to take pictures. I shot several through the backdoor last evening, so there will be a few bird shots over the next few days.

Squirrels are actually very viscious and dangerous creatures.

But what a cute bird! We don't get titmice here, though they have them in centray NYS.

Very detailed shot, especially when viewed large. Fabulous! What's nice about being able to shoot from the window is you can stay in the airconditioning! Too bad those squirrels won't leave your wife's flowers alone.

Good one! Nice detail! And, yes, squirrels can be "pains".

Wonderful shot of the Tufted Titmouse. I have lots at my feeders. also have lots of squirrels, gray and black and their babies. None have ever eaten my flowers. Don't ask me about the deer though.
